Advertising cookies
A third-party advertising cookie is a cookie placed by the server of a separate domain to that of the website visited. The most common third-party advertising cookies are generally those used by advertising companies.
They can track a network of websites. They are, for example, used for behavioural targeting, which means an internet user can be “recognised” on a set of separate websites. In this case, the network management cookie is placed or used from pages on each site through a tag.
